Life is Wonderful!
Hello friends and family!
well, i've had some of you telling me it's time to update my blog. So, although I should be reading right now, I'll let you know what's up very quickly.
Life really is great! Two friday's ago we had our Jr. youth kick off and 30 youth showed up! Last friday 31 youth came! It was wonderful. These are youth ages 11-14. Then we had our Sr. youth kick off on saturday. Last year we had 4 or 5 sr. youth coming and they really wanted to reach out to their friends. So on saturday we had about 16 youth come out!
Then last week I started my classes at Red River College and the UofM. It's a joint program for American Sign Language/English Interpreting. It's a 3 year program with a 1 year prerequisite of Deaf Studies. I finished Deaf studies about 6 years ago so now i'm in the 1st year of the AEIP. It's going great! The women in my class are really wonderful and i'm enjoying it so much!
I'm still working at Highway Tabernacle as the worship pastor. Things are certainly different and challenging but God is leading and growing those who want to be shaped by him. So that's good to see.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... WE GOT A PUPPY! yes, that's right. we got a 4 month old Bichon Frise puppy. Who is very cute and currently whinning like a little baby cuz' she's in the dark all alone. :(. It's very cute. Our bedroom is far away from the kitchen so i doubt we'll hear her. It's been a trumatic day for puppy. She had to drive to Steinbach 45 min. Then we drove her from Steinbach to our home in Portage. Long drive, new home, new people and no little sister puppy to sleep with. ah, she'll get over it.
Well, i've still got reading to do.
I'm doing communion "Jesus Style" on wed. Any suggestions? how have you done communion in interesting ways or in a way similar to the early church or passover?
love your comments.
Take Care everyone. and remember, your life is a huge influence for Jesus. Live it. :)
