Frustration
Hello everyone!
It's so nice to go to your blog and see that people have commented. Some body loves us! I wondered if people even read it... now that I know, I shall work to update it.
Anyone who reads this... I want you to know that i'm going to be honest from now on. I want to share my frustrations, my joys, etc. and would love feedback. So go nuts!
Here's my thing today. I get so frustrated with THE CHURCH (ie) all believers. We say we want God. And we say we want to see people saved. But how many have acutally brought someone to Jesus lately? I'm not trying to lay a guilt trip. But if Jesus is really making a difference in our lives, then why is it so hard to share Him? I don't think it has to be! Yeah, our lives need to be living examples. There's a saying that goes something like... "Share Jesus with others and if you need to, use words." But where's the part where we go beyond words to explain why our lives are different? Is the whole concept of "actions speak louder than words" a coppout in some ways because we're scared to talk to our friends about Jesus?
Thoughts?

ooooo! Your post made me want to speak in tongues. I think that lots of times "actions speak louder than words" is a copout (not that I'm disagreeing w/ Wendy). But people aren't mind readers. They don't know why you act the way you do. We need to tell them. Actions and words go hand in hand. So thanks for being honest!!

I think Courney's right. We can't just talk, and we can't just act. Our job is to love people, plain and simple. Jesus didn't go door-to-door, he went to the ones that "needed a doctor", then they came to him by the thousands. People who don't see their need, don't look for help. "Remember that few of you were great in the world's eyes...but it pleased God to lift up those regarded as nothing." Go to the people who need help...and love them.

Hey Paul and Jenn...
I just happened to stumble across your blog and before i comment i must say i miss coming by to watch the Jets play.. Paul they're having a tough year but i love VINNY and they will get better. Anyhow, i loved your post. I've been frustrated with this lately also, frustrated with the negativity i've allowed in my thoughts over the years. But thank the Lord, He changes us when we get closer to Him. I agree with what you said and i feel the Lord challenging me to share my faith more. I used to critcize street witnessing etc.. until someone gave me a nice rebuke and said to me, "But what are you doing about the lost? At least these people are trying to do something rather than criticize." I'm thankful for those rebukes and i still love lifestyle evangelism, but we do need words... The Gospel is powerful and i & all Christians must recognize it's power and we'll act differently and live differently. Wow! This has been something i've been wrestling with lately so it's fitting i read your blog! I didn't read the other comments so i don't know how i sounded compare to others lol.Just a couple thoguhts i had, i've heard you're doing extremely well in Portage, God bless y'all hope it keeps going well. GO JETS!!!

Hey Jenn,
You know my heart is in the same place as we have talked about something like this before. I agree with you. I just finshed my Theology of the Spirit Life class, and we talked often about how the Chruch is weakning by a number of different reason.
I think Jenn that in todays day and age we find ourselves wanting to please other people and not offend them... so we dont share about God because its offensive to some. But we need to remember Turth is Offensive, meaning its hard to hear and we dont want to hear it or even belive it. Hmm I am thinking about the day of Penticost... look at Paul he was filled with power and him and the others couldnt help but speak about God... with boldness.
Man Jenn, I know I want to be more bold that I could speak the truth and not care what others thought even if they take offensive to the word of God. Chruch is being fooled and the enemy is sneeking into Chruch to bring us down from within... but here I go onto my soap box, I think I will save this for my blog.
Love ya girl and keep this burden close to your heart and challenge others to speak
hmmm the early chruch was motivated to share the Gospel for 3 reasons, 1 love, 2 the Holy Spirit and 3 the confidence of Christ return. Christ's return is nearing... Will God need to use another donkey, sinner, or rocks to cry out?
